Rob Bell is a Universalist claiming he is not a Universalist in Love Wins

For many years Rob Bell has been on edge with his liberal and eisegetical theological views concerning Christianity and the Bible.  In Rob Bell’s new book, “Love Wins”, he has presented the view that in the end love wins, which means that all people will be saved. (restored)  What may surprise some people is that this is nothing new for Rob Bell and his false teachings.  Rob Bell has finally taken off his “sheep” costume and is now exposed for what he has been, a wolf, a heretic.

Jesus said:  “21 “Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.   22 “Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’   23 “And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'” (Matthew 7:21-23 NASB)

Jesus said:  “28 “Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28 NASB)

Jesus said:  “3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”   4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?”   5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.   6 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.   7 “Do not be amazed that I said to you, `You must be born again.'” (John 3:3-7 NASB)

Jesus said:  “14 “As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;   15 so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.   16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.   17 “For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.   18 “He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:14-18 NASB)

Jesus said:  “24 “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.””  (John 8:24 NASB)

Jesus said: “6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” (John 14:6 NASB)

Rob Bell says, let’s join the discussion… yes let’s.  Who should we believe? Jesus, the One who came and died to make atonement so that people can have the forgiveness of sins, or Rob Bell, stating in the end love wins.  If love wins, as Rob Bell puts it, why did Jesus go through all that He did if all would be saved in the end?  Universalism is a slap in the face to Jesus and is insult to the gospel.

Consider this:  “2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.   3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,   4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.” (2 Timothy 4:2-4 NASB)

The problem with this is that Rob Bell is fulfilling what the Scriptures warned about concerning false teachers leading people astray from the truth of God and the Scriptures.   The gospel is the good news and, yes, God loves the lost.  But the message of the gospel is that Jesus came to set people free from their sins and that they needed to genuinely receive Him as Lord and Savior and become born again. (spiritual rebirth)  If a person has rejected the gospel, or is caught up in a false religion, and they die, they will die in their sins.  It is because of their sin that they are separated from God.

Folks, be careful. Christians, be on guard.  Those in leadership warn those who you lead.  People like Rob Bell, who are within the Emergent Church, need to be exposed for their false and heretical teachings concerning Christianity, God, Jesus, and the Gospel.  I have nothing personal against Rob Bell, but when you insult the gospel message and teach heretical doctrines as Rob Bell does I will stand with those who have defended the truth of the gospel.

Be careful:  “6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel;   7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.   8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!   9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!” (Galatians 1:6-9 NASB)

Lastly, here is a link in which Rob Bell was interviewed, by Martin Bashir (MSNBC), about his new book, “Love Wins”.  Here we see someone asking the hard questions and we see Rob Bell contradicting himself and not being able to fully give a reasonable and Biblical answer for his beliefs.
