People ask what does the Bible teach on these topics and more. In this video I (Kelly Powers) explain what the essentials of Christianity are (Bible is God’s Word; The true nature of God, Trinity of God, explain the Trinity doctrine; the true Gospel of Jesus Christ; death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ), and provide simple answers on what it means to be a Christian. These are the true core beliefs of the Christian faith.

It is vitally important to know what to be careful of counterfeit Christianity in regards to false teachings on the Bible, on who God is, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are many false prophets, cults, sects, and religions that are counterfeits masquerading as being true. Some of these dangers are the Jehovah’s Witnesses (Charles Taze Russell; Watchtower Bible and Tract Society), Mormons (Mormonism; Joseph Smith), Islam (Muslims), Word Faith Movement (Joyce Meyer; Kenneth Copeland; Benny Hinn, Kenneth Hagin; Fredrick Price; E. W. Kenyon; Morris Cerullo; Peter Popoff; Joel Osteen; Paul and Jan Crouch; Rod Parsley; T. D. Jakes; Rodney Howard Browne; Oral Roberts), NAR New Apostolic Reformation (Peter Wagner; Rick Joyner; Bill Johnson; Todd Bentley; Rod Parsley; Chuck Pierce; John Bevere), Oneness Pentecostals (United Pentecostal Church International, UPCI, Jesus Only Movement), Liberalism, and others.

The essentials of Christianity and core beliefs of the Christian faith are the Scriptures (the Bible; God’s Word), one true God (Tr-Unity of God; explain the doctrine of the Trinity), and the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Jesus Christ paid the debt by giving His life as an atoning sacrifice upon the cross and rising again; death burial and resurrection of Jesus; Jesus Christ is the only way for salvation; salvation is by grace through faith not of works). These are the essentials of Christianity that define what true Christianity is, and there are many false teachers and teachings in counterfeit Christianity out there leading people astray.

I (Kelly Powers) hope that this video encourages and challenges you on the core beliefs of the Christian faith.. If you have any questions about Jehovah’s Witnesses (Charles Taze Russell), Mormons (Joseph Smith), Word Faith teachers, false prophets, New Apostolic Reformation, Muslims, or on the essentials of Christianity you are encouraged to share them.

  1. Hello out there from BP. I am hoping those of you who watch this video and others are encouraged and challenged in the faith to know what you believe and why you believe it in regards to the true Christian faith. I wanted to make a correction on something I stated during this video. I mentioned that Esau being the person that Muslims refer to as being their heritage and not Isaac. I meant to say Ishmael (Gen. 16:15), who was the was the half brother of Isaac. Isaac had two sons which were Esau and Jacob (Gen. 25).

I just wanted to clarify that, if anyone caught that.

    Lord bless,

    In Christ Jesus,

    Kelly Powers
