How can I become a Christian? What is the true meaning of Christmas? Jesus is the true meaning of Christmas! People ask why do we celebrate Christmas on December 25? Whether Jesus was born on December 25 is not the issue. The issue is that Jesus was born, Jesus lived, Jesus died on the cross for the world, and Jesus rose from the dead. Celebrating Christmas should be something we do all year round. For some people they don’t know Jesus Christ and they have never asked the question, why should I believe in Jesus? Or what makes Jesus different? Others who are seeking to know Jesus personally want to know how to become a Christian? You might be one of those people who have asked, how do I become a Christian? How can I become a Christian?
The history of Jesus’ birth and the origin of Christmas is not without debate, and some even claim that it is a pagan holiday. Those who claim the origin of Christmas is a pagan holiday miss the greatest gift and reason for the season. The gift is the coming of Jesus Christ to give His life for the world (John 3:16). Jesus is the true meaning of Christmas! We celebrate Jesus’ birth, life, teachings, death and resurrection, and to believe in Him for salvation.
Christmas happens once a year officially, but Christmas should be celebrated all year round. This is why people need to know that Jesus is the true meaning of Christmas. Why should anyone believe in Jesus? Have you ever asked, why should I believe in Jesus? Did Jesus really exist? Is the Bible a myth or just a book written by men for political gain? Historically Jesus has been proven by scholars to be real, and there is evidence from the Bible and extra non-Biblical sources that proves Jesus existence is real. Both secular and Christians whom are historians, archeologists, and scholars have proven the existence of Jesus being real and the Bible to be historically accurate. The Bible and extra non-Biblical sources for existence of Jesus can be found online.
So then, why should I believe in Jesus? What makes Jesus different? The answer is grace and that God loves you! It is as simple as that. We all are sinners, nobody is perfect and without faults, and that is the grace of God to restore and save us. This is hard for some people to accept and that is understandable. But this is still true. The Bible states for all have sinned and have fallen short to the glory of God (Romans 3:23). The Bible also states that the wages of sin is death but the free gift of eternal life is in Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23). The good news is that God loves you and wants you to know Him personally, and for you to be saved from your sins. Grace is what makes Jesus different from everything and everyone else! Check out Ephesians 2:8 on being saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Are you asking how do I become a Christian?
How do I become a Christian? How can I become a Christian? Many people everyday ask these questions, but not all of them seek to find the answers. You don’t have to belong to a church or become a member of a church to be a Christian. Going to a Christian church is something that should be done, but that is not what makes a person a Christian. Also, you don’t have to be water baptized or other things to become a Christian. You can become a Christian right now!
If you want to become a Christian right now here is what you need to do. First acknowledge and believe that Jesus died and rose again from the dead (Romans 10:9). Second, confess your need to be saved because you are a sinner, and acknowledge that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9-10). Third, by believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, confessing and calling upon Jesus as your Lord, you will be saved (Romans 10:13)! This is a matter of your heart, and if you truly believe this God will save you right now. It is by grace you are saved through faith, not of yourselves, is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8)!
This is also important to know. Being a Christian does not mean life will not have problems or hard times. If fact it might be harder at times now being a follower of Jesus Christ. But knowing Jesus Christ personally will make all the difference in this world when you are hurting, struggling, not sure what to do or who to go to, because Jesus is always there and will never let you go.
