Be on guard against heretical doctrines, false teachings, false apostles, false prophets, false pastors, and stand against false gospels and false teachers because the Bible teaches us contend for the gospel once delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3). Many Christians are being deceived by false teachings and false doctrines by Joyce Meyer, Kenneth Copeland, Bill Johnson, Todd White, Kenneth Hagin, Peter Wagner, Dr. Michael Brown, Todd Bentley, Peter Popoff, Paula White, Creflo Dollar, Joseph Prince, Morris Cerullo, Joel Osteen, Rod Parsley, TD Jakes, and many others. What is the charismatic Word Faith Movement? What is the New Apostolic Reformation NAR? Unlike false Cults like the Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Latter Day Saints, the Seventh Day Adventists and others, the deception in the body of Christ is growing where many people are being deceived.
The true gospel of Jesus Christ is that He was sent from God the Father (John 3:16), gave His life as atonement for sin on the cross (Hebrews 7-10), shed His blood as the lamb of God to take away sin (John 1:29), died upon the cross and through His physical death brought reconciliation and redemption to mankind and the world (Colossians 1:19-22), Jesus is the Messiah the Christ who was crucified upon the cross and rose again from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures (Luke 24:44-46), His physical death and shed blood paid the full debt for sin upon the cross (John 19:30; Colossians 2:13-16), and the blood of Jesus that was shed was without blemish and spot (1 Peter 1:18-19). Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 that the gospel is that Jesus died and crucified, and was raised to life on the third day according to the Scriptures. The gospel is good news for all who put their complete trust in Jesus Christ finished work upon the cross and His resurrection from the dead, and by faith believe in Him will be saved by grace not by works (Acts 15:7-11; Romans 10:9-13; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:3-5).
Why be concerned? What is the big deal? The charismatic Word Faith charismatic movement and the New Apostolic Reformation NAR teach a false gospel that Jesus Christ did not pay the full debt for sin upon the cross but had to die spiritually, taste spiritual death, become the nature of sin and Satan, separated from God the Father and no longer the Son of God, went to hell to suffer in our place to make atonement for sin, and Jesus became the first born again man to defeat hell, sin and death through His resurrection. Some of the more famous or known false preachers and false teachers are Joyce Meyer, Bill Johnson, Kenneth Copeland, Todd White,Dr. Michael Brown, Joseph Prince, Joel Osteen, Kenneth Hagin, Creflo Dollar, Morris Cerullo, TD Jakes, Rod Parsley, Paula White, Peter Popoff, Peter Wagner, Todd Bentley, and many others. They are false teachers, false preachers, false apostles, false prophets, who are teaching a false gospel which is leading many people astray (Matthew 7:15; 2 Corinthians 11:4-15). Paul wrote in Galatians 1:6-9 to be deceived with a false gospel, another gospel that is not the true gospel of Jesus Christ, and anyone who preaches a false gospel is to be accursed anathema!
The Bible teaches we are to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3), to defend the gospel of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 3:15), mark those who cause divisions (Romans 16:17), and stand firm in the faith against the evil schemes and lies of Satan the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Be Bereans, examine the Scriptures with whoever you listen to whether they believe pastors, leaders, elders, etc (Acts 17:11). Get grounded, get rooted, be established in the faith and your walk with Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:6-7), and grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus (2 Peter 3:18).
